Apple TV+'s new comedy, "Government Cheese," starring and executive produced by multi-award-winner David Oyelowo (TV's "Lawmen: Bass Reeves"), makes its global debut on Apple TV+ with four episodes on April 16, followed by one episode weekly every Wednesday through May 28.

Simone Missick, (TV's "All Rise"), Jahi Di'Allo Winston ("Charm City Kings"), and Evan Ellison, ("She Came to Me"), star alongside Oyelowo in the series hailing from creators Paul Hunter ("The Drew: No Excuse, Just Produce") and Aeysha Carr (TV's "Uncoupled"). "Government Cheese" is a surrealist family comedy set in 1969 San Fernando Valley that tells the story of the Chambers, a quirky family pursuing lofty and seemingly impossible dreams, beautifully unfettered by the realities of the world.

When Hampton Chambers (Oyelowo) is released from prison, his long-awaited family reunion doesn't go quite as he'd planned. During his absence, Hampton's wife Astoria (Missick) and sons Einstein (Ellison) and Harrison (Jahi Di'Allo Winston) have formed an unconventional family unit, and Hampton's return spins their world into chaos.

The ensemble cast also includes Bokeem Woodbine ("Fargo"), Jeremy Bobb ("The Continental"), Louis Cancelmi ("The Irishman"), Julien Heron ("Baskets"), Djilali Rez-Kallah ("My Hero"), Louis Ferreira ("Stargate Universe"), Thomas Beaudoin ("Hubert & Fanny"), Kyle Mac ("The Boys") with John Ortiz ("Bad Monkey") and Adam Beach ("Smoke Signals").

In addition to starring, Oyelowo executive produces the show under his Yoruba Saxon banner. The series is also executive produced by Charles D. King and Jelani Johnson for MACRO Television Studios. Ali Brown executive produces for Ventureland.

Here Are The Titles For The First Four Episodes Of The 10-Part Series: "Government Cheese"

Episode 1: (Debut April 16 "The Gospel of Kenny Sharp"--On the heels of his return home, Hampton reckons with all the changes that took place during his long absence.

Episode 2: "Trial and Error"--Hampton's first day of freedom takes a few surprising turns. Astoria gets interrupted at
work.

Episode 3: "Two Doors--Astoria enjoys a night out on the town, and Hampton gets sidetracked.

Episode 4: "A Long Road Home"--The Chambers kids embark on a quest, while Hampton kills two birds with one stone.

"KIDNAPPED BY A KILLER: THE HEATHER ROBINSON STORY" PREMIERES JUNE 7 ON LIFETIME

Lifetime will debut a new original "Ripped from the Headlines" movie, "Kidnapped by a Killer: The Heather Robinson Story," on June 7 (8/7 central Time). The drama stars Steve Guttenberg ("How to Murder Your Husband" and "Ballers"), Jana Kramer ("A Cowboy Christmas Romance" and "One Tree Hill") and Rachel Stubington ("Shrinking") is based on the true story of Heather Robinson who was abducted as a baby and raised by the family of a serial killer who was convicted of murdering her mother.

Heather Robinson (Stubington) grew up in a loving family in Illinois and, by the time she was a teen, had long known that she had been adopted as an infant by her parents. But in 2000, the then-15-year-old's world was shattered when she learned that the man she knew as her uncle, John Robinson (Guttenberg), was actually a serial killer accused of murdering multiple women in the Kansas City area, including her biological mother. After her uncle's arrest, Heather learns the shocking truth about her birth mother's disappearance. Jana Kramer portrays an investigator working on the case.

"Kidnapped by a Killer: The Heather Robinson Story" is produced by Marwar Junction Productions and Allegheny Image Factory. Executive producers are Joseph Freed and Allison Berkley of Marwar Junction Productions, Jeffrey Tinnell and Robert Tinnell of Allegheny Image Factory, Melissa Moore of Redletter Media, and Maritte Lee Go.
