It's On. Super Bowl (LV) 55 will feature the Kansas City Chiefs (14-2) and their fearless, gunslinger quarterback Patrick Mahomes against the mighty Tampa Bay Buccaneers (11-5) led by the incomparable Tom Brady.

The epic showdown kicks off Feb. 7 from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay, Florida at 6:30 p.m. and will air on CBS.

As of this writing, the Kansas City Chiefs are favored by three points to win Super Bowl LV. They arrived by beating the Buffalo Bills, 38-24, to win the AFC title and the Buccaneers defeated the Green Bay Packers, 31-26 for the NFC, and here we are.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the first team to play a Super Bowl in their home stadium. The last Super Bowl they won was in 2003 against the Oakland Raiders 48-21 in Super Bowl XXXVII (37).

So, it had to be the Bucs and the Chiefs. It just had to be. The narrative is too exciting and too great for this battle not to happen. You have old man Brady, the former New England Patriot, who at 43-years-old continues to defy the naysayers and just wins and wins impressively. This is Brady's 10th Super Bowl. Let that marinate for a bit.

Then there's 25-year-old Patrick Mahomes. The guy is quick, exciting to watch and he even loves ketchup on his steak. Mahomes, is unquestionably the future of the NFL. He's cementing his legacy as well, having led the Kansas City Chiefs to victory over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LIV (54). Now, Mahomes looks to win back-to-back Super Bowl titles which by the way, hasn't been done since Brady's halcyon days with the Patriots.

See what I mean by a great storyline.

So, now the question is who will win Super Bowl LV and hoist the Vince Lombardi Trophy? Will it come down to a field goal, an interception or a key tackle for the Kansas City Chiefs or Tampa Bay Buccaneers?

For more insight to that question N2Entertainment.net reached out to Dan Bunz, the former San Francisco 49er (1978-1984) and two-time Super Bowl Champion (XVI, XIX) and Detroit Lions linebacker who knows a thing or two about key tackles.

In Super Bowl XVI (January 24, 1982), which featured the San Francisco 49ers and Cincinnati Bengals, the 6-4 226 pound Bunz--No. 57--made one of the biggest tackles in NFL history against the Bengals' Charles Alexander during a third down just inches before the goal-line. Bunz's play is now famously known as "The Stop" and contributed significantly to the 49ers securing their first Super Bowl title.

During a recent phone interview from his home in Roseville, California, the personable Bunz, who now enjoys teaching Physical Education and working with special needs kids at Sutter Middle School in Sacramento, spoke with N2Entertainment.net about Super Bowl LV and who he believes will win. In addition, the 65-year-old gridiron great discussed how the game he and his wife still love has changed since his playing days.

Here's what else Bunz had to say.

Q. OK, I will jump right in. Do you believe Super Bowl LV will live up to the hype and be all that and more?

A. I do. I think that it will be an incredibly exciting game. The storyline just couldn't be any better. You have the veteran Tom Brady on a new team looking to silence all the critics who said he was too old and needed to hang it up. He's so comfortable and often at his best when under pressure. We've seen him come through time and time again. Patrick Mahomes has the newbie magic and when he's in his zone he's just razor-sharp with his passes and quick on his feet scrambling and that's what makes him so fun and exciting to watch and he's only 25-years-old.

Q. Can you talk about Andy Reid and how special he is for the Chiefs?

A. He's a remarkable coach, a Bill Walsh type coach really. He puts pressure on the defense. He isn't afraid to calls big plays or trick plays. He has a lot of ways to wear you down and beat you.

Q. Are you going to the Super Bowl or sticking close to home to watch the game?

A. I'll be watching the game at home with my wife. She used to just like football, but now she loves it even more now that I'm no longer playing. Sometimes when I'm doing other things outdoors at the house on Sundays, she has to remind me when the 49ers are on and she tells me to get inside now and watch the game.

Q. Do you have sons that you watch the game with too?

A. No, I have two daughters. I'm a proud girl dad and my brother has all the boys. With my girls, there isn't pressure for them to follow in their dads footsteps. Although if they pursued some avenue of working in the NFL--women are officiating the game now--that would be great.

Q. When you watch the games today what do you think about the rules and how the game has changed since you suited up?

A. I kid you not, I was just talking to Ronnie Lott the other day about how the game has changed. We had a really good laugh because it's definitely not the same. Some would say it's like flag football (Lots of laughter). They don't hit much now. I know the game now is about protecting the quarterback and all but man, there's a lot more coverage today. As a middle linebacker, I was supposed to light 'em up. I told Ronnie (Lott) that we couldn't play today. We would get tossed out of every game the way we played. It's a new game for sure.

Q. Did coaching college football interest you?

A. I coached for a bit at Sierra College, Sacramento State and at Hiram Johnson High School. I just got really tired of some of the politics. It's a lot to contend with.

Q. Who do you think will win Super Bowl LV and why?

A. I think Tampa Bay will win. I like the veterans. It's like the last hurrah. Tom Brady is going to put on a clinic. I just wouldn't bet against the guy. He's shown us too many times what he can do even down by two or three touchdowns with little time on the clock.

Q. What's your prediction?

A. Tampa Bay 36, the Chiefs 24. I know people are going to say, oh you're going for Brady because Mahomes beat the 49ers. No, that's not why. I just like the veterans and you just can't count Tom Brady out. I mean look at this year. Talk about a comeback. He had an amazing season. This should be a great Super Bowl.

Q. Is there anything else you'd like to add?

A. Well, I want to tell all the Niners fans to hang in there. Considering the injuries, the team did pretty good. I'm sad to see Robert Saleh, the defensive coordinator leave the team, but not surprised that he's now the New York Jets head coach. He's a smart and talented coach. I have a lot of respect for him. The 49ers will be back, and they will be good.

Editor's Note: The big show is almost here. Get the food, drinks, and dessert ready. It's time for Super Bowl LV featuring the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs which takes place Feb. 7 at Raymond James Stadium (Tampa, Florida) and airs on CBS.

The CBS kick-off show starts at 6 p.m. (ET/PT). Sidenotes: During the Super Bowl pre-game festivities H.E.R. will perform "America the Beautiful" and Eric Church and Jazmine Sullivan will sing the National Anthem.
