The first installment of FX's "American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez" which is debuting Sept. 17, is based on the podcast "Gladiator: Aaron Hernandez and Football Inc. from The Boston Globe and Wondery.

The 10-episode limited series charts the rise and fall of NFL superstar Aaron Hernandez and explores the disparate strands of his identity, his family, his career, his suicide and their legacy in sports and American culture.

"American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez" is executive produced by Ryan Murphy, Stuart Zicherman, Nina Jacobson, Brad Simpson, Alexis Martin Woodall, Eric Kovtun, Scott Robertson and Carl Franklin. Hernan Lopez and Marshall Lewy of Wondery also serve as executive producers alongside Linda Pizzuti Henry and Ira Napoliello of The Boston Globe. The series is produced by 20th Television.

HULU'S SERIES "RIVALS" DEBUTS OCT. 18

Hulu will broadcast all eight episodes of "Rivals", the upcoming adaptation of Dame Jilly Cooper's iconic novel, on Oct. 18.

The original eight-part blockbuster is based Cooper's Rutshire Chronicles series, which is packed full of romantic entanglements, dastardly deals, sex and wit.

Set against the backdrop of the drama, excess, and shocking antics of the power-grabbing social elite of 1980s England, "Rivals" delves headfirst into the ruthless world of independent television in 1986.

The series stars Alex Hassell ("The Tragedy of Macbeth" and "The Boys") as the dashing ex-Olympian, Member of Parliament, and dangerously charismatic Rupert Campbell-Black, David Tennant ("Doctor Who" "Good Omens") as Lord Tony Baddingham, Aidan Turner ("Poldark", "The Suspect") as Declan O'Hara, Nafessa Williams ("Black Lighting" and "Whitney Houston: I Wanna Dance with Somebody") as Cameron Cook, Katherine Parkinson ("Humans" and "Here We Go") as Lizzie Vereker and Bella Maclean ("Spring Awakening" and "Sex Education") as Taggie O'Hara.

The series also stars Emily Atack, Catriona Chandler, Oliver Chris, Danny Dyer, Rufus Jones, Lisa McGrillis, Luke Pasqualino, Claire Rushbrook, and Victoria Smurfit.

"Rivals" is executive produced by Dominic Treadwell-Collins ("A Very English Scandal"), Alexander Lamb ("Ackley Bridge"), Felicity Blunt, Olivier Award-winning playwright Laura Wade ("The Riot Club"), "Rivals" author Dame Jilly Cooper and Director of Scripted Content for Disney+ EMEA Lee Mason.

"Rivals" is produced by Happy Prince, which is part of ITV Studios. The series is written by Dominic Treadwell-Collins and Laura Wade.

The lead director is BAFTA-nominated Elliot Hegarty ("Ted Lasso"), who also serves as executive producer on episodes 1-4. Eliza Mellor ("The Midwich Cuckoos") serves as Series Producer. Dee Koppang O'Leary ("The Crown") and Alexandra Brodski ("Somewhere Boy") also direct episodes.
