In the new gritty revenge thriller "Clear Cut, " director Brian Skiba ("Dead Man's Hand") and screenwriter Joe Perruccio (TV's "Crypt TV: Creepypasta") have crafted a preposterous yet highly entertaining B-movie.

"Clear Cut" stars Clive Standen ("Possessions") as Jack, a former DEA agent with a mysterious past. Seeking a fresh start, Jack lands a logging job in the serene Oregon mountains under the watchful eye of his boss, Sam (Alec Baldwin, "Billie’s Magic World").

As Jack delves into his new role, tensions simmer beneath the surface, hinting at darker motivations and hidden agendas.

During their journey to the work site, Sam probes into Jack's background, eliciting guarded responses about his previous life and relationships.

However, Jack's reticence about his wife (Lucy Martin, TV's "Malpractice") and young daughter-- masks deeper secrets, revealing that he may not be the straightforward worker he appears to be.
But Sam takes a gamble on Jack anyway, seeing him as a stand-up guy willing to roll up his sleeves. He starts by teaching him the basics of tree-cutting safety and warns Jack about pacing himself.

Moments after felling his first massive tree, Jack spots smoke rising nearby. Intrigued, he investigates and discovers a meth lab operated by Bo (Lochlyn Munro, "Chapel").

Despite Bo's lack of smarts, his prowess with a crossbow is no joke. So, you don't want to cross Bo. Meanwhile, as Jack continues to survey the area, he's forced to hide beneath a pickup truck when Eli (Jesse Metcalfe, "Divine Influencer"), a notorious drug dealer, arrives with his associates Keen (Tom Welling, TV's "Professionals") and Jasmine (Chelsey Reist, TV's "Midnight Whispers").

While Bo, Keen, and Jasmine gather near the house, Jack seizes an opportunity to search Eli's truck. where he discovers a duffel bag overflowing with cash. Jack grabs the bag and makes a mad dash into the woods. However, his escape doesn't go unnoticed, and the gang quickly gives chase, determined to recover their stolen loot.

Interwoven with intense action sequences are revealing flashbacks that piece together Jack's intricate connections to the local community, including the enigmatic forest ranger.

"Clear Cut" thrills with unpredictable plot twists, evolving into a frenzied crime escapade that keeps you guessing and riveted.
