My TV has been locked on Disney+ lately. The streaming service has been cranking out some quality series/shows like “Star Wars: The Bad Batch,” “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier” and “WandaVision.”

Their latest one, “Loki” has me hooked too and this comes after seeing just the first two episodes. Hopefully, Disney+ will send additional screeners to review.

“Loki” premieres June 9 on Disney+ with a new episode airing each week. The MCU live-action series has Tom Hiddleston reprising his role as the title character, aka the “God of Mischief.” The show takes place partially after the events of “Avengers: Endgame” and Loki is Kookier and more brazen than ever. I’ve promised not to reveal the major plot turns, but I can assure you, this is a series that Marvel fans will love and newbies can embrace as well.

Loki has escaped with the coveted cube/Tesseract and has been taken by the Time Variance Authority--a bureaucratic organization that operates outside of time and space and monitors the timeline. The Time Keepers lead Agent Mobius (a funny Owen Wilson, “Bliss”) and the TVA’s judge Ravonna Renslayer (Gugu Mbatha-Raw, “Summerland” and TV’s “The Morning Show”) are overseeing Loki’s investigation. Also, in the mix is Wunmi Mosaku (TV’s “A Black Lady Sketch Show”) who stars as Hunter B-15: a devoted and high-ranking Hunter of the TVA.

Since Loki has been charged with a crime, Mobius and the TVA give him two options: He can be killed/reset or work with them to find the “variant” that is wiping out people. Now, it comes down to whether or not Loki will be the key factor to the time-bending threat that could rewrite the entire MCU.

There are six total episodes of “Loki”, and this series shows a lot of promise and excitement to come. It also features some strong performances from Sophia Di Martino, (“Into the Badlands”), Richard E. Grant (“The Hitman’s Wife Bodyguard”) and Erika Coleman (TV’s “Stranger Things”). Looks like I will be locked into Disney+ a bit longer.
