GRAMMY AWARD WINNING SINGERS MAXWELL AND JILL SCOTT GEAR UP FOR 20 CITY SUMMER TOUR

By: Lana K. Wilson-Combs

Start saving your dough. This may be the concert of the summer, or rather the year. Grammy Award winning superstars Maxwell and Jill Scott will kick off a 20-city U.S. arena tour May 21 in Cleveland, Ohio.

N2Entertainment.net will be front and center at the Staples Center show June 5 for what should be one of the most soulful concerts in years.

Maxwell is riding a wave of success after his two recent Grammy Award wins for his number one platinum CD "BLACKsummers'night." The CD dominated year-end critic's lists. Triple Grammy Award winning singer Jill Scott has not only become a success on the music front—her 2000 debut album "Who is Jill Scott? Words and Sounds Vol.1," went double platinum—but Scott has also made a name for herself on the big and small screen.

The versatile actress has starred in films like "Hounddog" (as Big Mama Thornton), Tyler Perry's "Why Did I Get Married?" and will reprise her role as Sheila in Perry's "Why Did I Get Married Too?" Scott will also star in the big screen adaptation of "For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf." Currently you can see her in the lead role of the HBO series "The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency." In addition to all that good stuff, Scott is prepping two movies and a cartoon series. Her fifth CD, "The Light of the Sun" comes out later this summer.
