The 2023 NAACP Image Awards will take place in front of a live audience for the first time in three years, on Feb. 25 at 8 p.m. (ET/PT) on BET.

"Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" and "The Woman King" lead the film nominees with 12 and nine nominations, respectively. "Till" has six nods, and "Emancipation" has five. The talented Angela Bassett from "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" and "Woman King" star Viola Davis are both nominated for the NAACP Image Award's "Entertainer of the Year."

Civil Rights activist, Ben Crump will receive the "Social Justice Impact Award" for his non-stop and courageous advocacy for freedom and equality.

N2Entertainment.net was chosen once again to be on this year's NAACP Image Awards Nominating Committee. There were so many great nominees in film and television including ABC's "Abbott Elementary" which received the most nominations in TV/streaming. The show's creator and star Quinta Brunson is also nominated for "Entertainer Of The Year."

This year's nominees have conveyed a wide range of authentic stories and diverse experiences that have resonated with many in our community, and we're proud to recognize their outstanding achievements and performances," NAACP president and CEO Derrick Johnson said in a statement.

Although it was tough to choose, here are the nominees in the major movie/TV categories that N2Entertainment.net selected (bolded) and would like to see win the 2023 NAACP Image Awards. Congratulations to all the nominees.

Be sure and tune in to the NAACP Image Awards' star-studded show Feb. 25 at 8 p.m. (ET/PT) on BET.
